New parts & distribution centre to service growing European demand

Woods Equipment, a Blount International group business since 2011, has confirmed the opening of a brand new, purpose built spares and assembly plant in Charlerois, Belgium. For the company, Alexis Michot, European Manager for their Agricultural division said, “Our business is committed to providing the best product range, quality and level of service we can, for the UK Agricultural market and this investment signals our intentions to expand market share and after sales support levels throughout Europe.

The Woods business, founded in 1946 by brothers Leonard, Keith and Mervel Woods, currently employs around five hundred and fifty staff. Based in Oregon, Illinois, we are the acknowledged market leader in top-quality attachments and replacement parts for the agricultural and grounds maintenance markets in the USA. The company built the first successful tractor-mounted rotary cutter on the principles of innovation, quality and performance. Those principles have resulted in a market share of 17% in the USA and a growing European demand this Charlerois facility will support, through an expanding network of dealers and distributors.”
