Specialist agriculture sector dealership K O Machines have recently supplied an 8.6m Muthing MU-Pro/F Vario front and rear-mounted hydraulic folding flail to Newport, Shropshire-based, leading UK salad grower, PDM Produce.
The first 8.6m MU-Pro/F Vario model into the UK market was delivered to PDM Produce ‘the salad growers’ based in Newport Shropshire.
Features include a specially built hood, high rotor and cutting speeds, and outstanding mulching and shredding quality for tractors up to 400 horsepower.
“PDM Produce were looking to replace a machine they had only lasted for a couple of years,” said Darren Winstanley of K O Machines who supplied the MU-Pro/F860, the Muthing reputation for build quality and performance convinced them it was the best solution for their business.”
“The decision to go with the MU-Pro/F Vario was driven by the range of Muthing capabilities, particularly the variable shear-bar option that lets us vary cut length, along with the ‘Shark Fin shredding bar which gives a uniform shredding along the full width of the mower” said PDM Produce Workshop Manager Mark Turner.
The Muthing Vario system is standard, and other features include a revolutionary replaceable shredding bar system (Shark Fin) that fully distributes the debris behind the mulching mower. The MU-SOFA weight transfer system provides the perfect ground following as well as maximum working breadth in the field. The transport width is 2.85m, and the overall height is under 4m.”
